Nazrul Islam

Nazrul Islam is studying in class/grade 5 at BKS Cadet School. He is 10 years old. His family came to Dhaka (capital city) from Sherpur (another district) in 2012 for work and for a better future.

His father Kabil Uddin, 63, is a rickshaw puller. And his mother Khadeja Begum, a 38-year lady is working as a housekeeper. He has only one brother who works in a shop.

In total, their family income is USD 150 per month. They have been living in a single room of a tin shed slum house; water penetrates inside the room when it rains. They sleep both in a bed and on the floor. He has no table for study.

Nazrul wants to be a CID officer after finishing his graduation. He is a very good student. He is hopeful to obtain GPA 5+ in the PSC exam; and then he will obtain a government scholarship. Reading books, this is his hobby. He likes drawing and dislikes fighting.

Nazrul is optimistic on his goal to become a CID officer. The support of his family is not sufficient for his study. He hopes for a financial help from any source that will allow him to reach the goal. It will be a great humanitarian aid for Nazrul Islam.
