Jannat

Jannat is a 14 years old girl who studies in grade 6 in Sunrise Model School. When she grows up, she aspires to become a teacher. She has kind of mental problem. Jannat’s family moved to Dhaka from Cumilla in 2002 in search of better work and a better life.

MD.Alamin (48) an electrician is Jannat’s father and Salma Begum (33) a house worker is her mother. Jannat has 1 brother.

Jannat’s parents barely earning 130 USD/month. Her family is living in a single room cabin and it is very difficult for Jannat and her brother to study and fulfill their hopes.

Jannat wants to pursue higher education in the future. But with their current earning, it will be very difficult to support the Education of her and her siblings.

Jannat and her brother is very knowledgeable and are very interested in studying. They have to study in a tight space and do not have the luxury of having the utensils necessary for studying. But they are still trying their very best to for a better future.

Jannat and her brother is very sincere when studying. They are regular at school and are very attentive towards their teachers. Jannat loves traveling, she likes to play football and to learn new things. But the earning of her family might not be enough for their education all together. Jannat’s family is in dire need of external sponsorship in order to complete their education
