Moushumi Kazi
A
lovely eight years old slum girl, Moushumi Kazi, is studying at the Shurovi
School in class/grade 1st.
Jamal
Kazi, a forty years old man, is her father. He is working for a private firm. Thirty two years old Minu Akter, her Mother, works as a
housekeeper. Moushumi has four siblings. Three sisters and one brother. Rubi
Kazi, her eldest sister is a garment worker.
The
total family income is about USD 218 per month. They reside in a room of a tin
shed house. Rainwater drips on the bed during the monsoon. They sleep both on a
bed and on the floor. Eleven families have to share a single toilet. It’s a big
problem for her, especially in the morning. They need to change this house for
better facilities. She has no table for her study.
Moushumi
wants to be a doctor. She likes to study her class text books. She is doing
well in her exams. She came first in the last annual exam. Dancing to music is
her hobby. Telling lies she dislikes most.
Her
parents hope that if Moshumi can receive a little financial afford from any
source, it could be a great help for her study and to fulfill her aim in
life.
